How is God ONE?

"Shema Yisroel Adonoi Elohenu Adonoi Echod"
At first appearance it only seems there is only one God, without any further definition. However, is it possible there is a far deeper meaning in the words "one God?"
Deut. 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God [is] one LORD: God and His Word (Christ) are One:
John 10:30 I and [my] Father are one.
By the above verse it now appears that Christ (the Word of God) is also apart of the ONE God. But notice the verse below, it now appears that ONE is a name for God
Zac. 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be ONE LORD, and HIS NAME is ONE
John 17:11 And now I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep through thine own name those whom thou hast given me, that they may be ONE, as. we [are]
By the above verse it also appears that the people of God are keep through the name of God (ONE), and that we also may become ONE with God through Jesus Christ; for they together are ONE. Now the verse below states that God dwells within us.
Ephesians 4:6 One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, AND IN YOU all.
Now the point is, if God dwells within us as ONE -- then how are we joined to God and Christ?
I Cor. 6:17 But he that is joined unto the Lord is one spirit.
and finally by the next verse we see that through Jesus our Christ all things will be gathered together in Him.
Ephesians 1:10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; [even] in him: [ all verses are K.J.V.] together in ONE
So it is that we my deduce that ONE God has a deeper meaning in that Jesus is the binder of all things with God. That God's NAME means ONE in unity (being knit together as one) joined by His Holy Spirit of Glory (Light of His Mercy brought forth in LOVE).
Please read the story below to see how love is a binder -- making ONE out of two divided members.
Sometime between 1887 and 1895, in the mountains of Arizona my grandfather and his younger brother went out gathering firewood for the hard winter ahead -- taking a draft team and freight wagon with them they set out.
As they made their way through the mountain passes, they came upon a stream. It had just rained that day, and the normally small stream had become a small river; loosening the soft silt banks, churning up the rock and mud to impassable consistency.
The elder brother told the younger brother to hold tight, until he had a look around, to find a better way to cross. But while the elder brother was gone and being impatient, he whipped the team, forcing them ahead into the cold and swollen waters. Terror took
hold of the horses, driving one forward, then the other -- but not together. Thus, confusion became the whip master -- and a tone of FEAR enveloped everything. The wheels of the wagon sank deeper and deeper into the blackened mud -- they became stuck, as if gripped by thousands of tons of weight.
Soon the elder brother returned, and with his anger raging toward his brother, yelled out, "hold it, or I’ll use that whip on you". Then calmly, with a gentle voice, he spoke with words of love for his friends (his horses). "Boys, you know me, how much I love you;how much, I love you." With a gentle rub around the ears of each horse, he continued, "I’m so sorry, I’m so very sorry". Almost with tears, his youthful eyes changed from the red of anger, to a soft pale blue, like a saddened sky filled with rain clouds.

He continued; "little ones, I can’t leave you here like this" -- placing a kiss on the nose of each, he softly said, "My little boys, as you love me, as you love me -- come follow me" He gave a gentle pull on the harness of each, and both horses in combined effort lowered their posture to the point their bellies almost touched the water, and with a sound of air rushing in their lungs they stretched forward with every muscle straining, they plowed their great hooves in the mud -- slowly, but with great power they broke the wagon free from it’s watery grave. The crossing was made that day, by an act of LOVE. In this case a man for his horses, but in your case, a God for you. in a Lamb sent from heaven. Through LOVE, two became ONE.
I Timothy 2:5 For THERE IS ONE GOD, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Jesus Christ is the peace maker between ourselves and God -- we are redeemed back to the Father of Lights becoming One with Him in Christ. We have been washed in Holy Blood (forgiven) and joined to our Father in the Water of His Glory (His Holy Spirit). Now by His merciful LOVE we have become ONE.
